Become a Supporter

Like Pooh Bah, NTP will accept refreshment at any hands, however lowly. For your donation you will receive a receipt for a tax deduction, a mention in the program, the gratitude of all of us, and the priceless positive feelings one gets from supporting the arts.

Membership in the North Toronto Players

NTP is a non-profit, charitable organization with membership open to all in the community who share an interest in bringing vocal music and musical theatre to a wide audience for a reasonable price.

All members of the cast are required to be members of North Toronto Players. The annual fee is a donation of $150.00, which is tax deductible.

Chorus Roles

Participation in the chorus is open to everyone, 16 years of age or older, with an interest in musical theatre. While our need for male tenors is great, we are always happy to welcome sopranos, altos and basses to our group — especially when they bring their tenor friends along.

Currently there is no audition required for chorus members, but you must be willing to memorize and perform musicand simple choreography. You also are expected to attend all rehearsals – which begin with three-hour sessions on Monday nights starting in September, build to include full-day Saturday rehearsals beginning in January, and then finish with a final production week of evening rehearsals just prior to the show in March.

We also rely greatly on our cast to help out with things like set construction and marketing. No experience is necessary, but participation is greatly appreciated. Rehearsals from September through December take place at the Edithvale Community Centre (on Finch, a couple of blocks west of Yonge Street).
